Otel web sitelerinin içerik analizi ile değerlendirilmesi: Marmaris örneği
Özet
Today, the importance of the internet in the service marketing of hotel businesses has been
gradually increasing. Thanks to the web sites, the hotel management facilitates access to local
and foreign customers. Additionally, hotels’ web sites can influence the hotel choices of
tourists. For this reason, it is essential for hotel managements to better determine website
properties and improve their website performances to attract customers. The aim of this study
is to examine the web sites of three and four star hotels operating in Marmaris in terms of their
web site features. The study was conducted in January 2018. The research covers 48 hotels with
tourism operation certificates. In this context, the content analysis method was preferred in the
evaluation of the corporate web sites of the hotels. Websites subjected to the research were
analysed under the titles; facility information, communication information, reservation
information, environmental information, use of social media. As a result of the research, it is
revealed that the hotel web sites lack of certain features. The research concludes with
suggestions for the hotel.
