dc.description.abstractIn this study, the optimisation of COD removal from a real textile wastewater by Bigadic clinoptilolite was performed using Response Surface Methodology (RSM) by means of Minitab 17 programme. The applied experimental parameters were pH, dosage and temperature. The obtained optimum conditions were pH 4, temperature 15 degrees C and dosage 1 g/50 ml. The optimiser and contour plots were used for optimisation of data set, and regression models were developed for calculation of model responses for a given any experimental parameters. Adsorbent capacity (q), COD and colour removal (%) values determined by RSM at optimum conditions were 31.01 mg/g, 61.8 and 29.69, respectively.en_US
