A new characterization of Mobius transformations by the use of Apollonius points of (2n-1)-gons
(Springer Heidelberg, 2005)In this paper, we give a new characterization of Mobius transformations. To do this, we extend the notion of Apollonius points of a triangle and of a pentagon, to the notion of Apollonius points of an arbitrary (2n - 1)-gon. -
Proof of a conjecture related to the parabolic class numbers of some Fuchsian groups
(Elsevier Science Inc, 2005)This paper proves a conjecture given in [6], which is concerning with the parabolic class numbers of some Fuchsian groups. -
Rational approximation in Orlicz spaces on Carleson curves
(Belgian Mathematical Soc Triomphe, 2005)We define some subclasses of Orlicz spaces of functions and establish here a direct theorem of the approximation theory by rational functions. -
Submanifolds satisfying some curvature conditions imposed on the Weyl tensor
(Australian Mathematics Publ Assoc Inc, 2003)In this paper we define Weyl semiparallel (C . h = 0) and Weyl 2-semiparallel (C . (&DEL;) over barh 0) submanifolds. We consider n-dimensional normally flat submanifolds satisfying these curvature conditions in (n + ... -
The p-cockcroft property of the semi-direct products of monoids
(World Scientific Publ Co Pte Ltd, 2003)The semi-direct product of arbitrary two monoids and a presentation for this product have received considerable attention, see for instance [12, 14, 15]. In [15], Wang defined a trivializer set of the Squier complex ... -
Integral control by variable sampling based on steady-state data
(Pergamon-Elsevier Science Ltd, 2003)In this paper we consider integral control algorithms with convergent adaptive sampling for multivariable infinite-dimensional systems. Steady-state gain information is used in choosing suitable integrator gains and we ... -
The integer sequence B = Bn(P,Q) with parameters P and Q
(Charles Babbage Res Ctr, 2015)In this work, we first prove that every prime number p equivalent to 1 (mod 4) can be written of the form P-2-4Q with two positive integers P and Q, and then we define the sequence B-n(P, Q) to be B-0 = 2, B-1 = P and B-n ... -
Minimal but inefficient presentations of the semi-direct products of some monoids
(Springer, 2003)In recent papers of Ruskuc, Saito and J. Wang, the semi-direct product of two arbitrary monoids and a standard presentation, say P, for this product have received considerable attention. Wang defined a trivialiser set of ... -
Multivariate approximation theorems in weighted lorentz spaces
(Springer Basel Ag, 2015)We consider trigonometric polynomial approximation problems in the multivariate weighted Lorentz spaces. In particular, we prove direct and converse theorems for trigonometric approximation in the multivariate weighted ... -
Variable sampling integral control of infinite-dimensional systems
(Ieee, 2000)In this paper we present sampled-data low-gain I-control algorithms for infinite-dimensional systems in which the sampling period is not constant. The system is assumed to be exponentially stable with invertible steady ... -
The efficiency of standard wreath product
(Oxford Univ Press, 2000)Let xi be the set of all finite groups that have efficient presentations. In this paper we give sufficient conditions for the standard wreath product of two xi-groups to be a E-group. -
Dissolution kinetics of ulexite in aqueous EDTA solutions
(Metallurgical Soc-C I M, 2000)The dissolution kinetics of ulexite in aqueous disodium Ethylene Diamine Tetra Acidic Acid (EDTA) solutions has been investigated with respect to the effects of particle size, solution concentration, pH of solution, ... -
Applications of differential transform method to differential-algebraic equations
(Elsevier Science Inc, 2004)In this paper, numerical solution of linear differential-algebraic equations (DAEs) is considered by differential transform method. Two different problems have been solved by using the technique and solutions have been ... -
Approximation in Smirnov classes with variable exponent
(Taylor & Francıs Ltd, 2015)In this work, the inverse problem of approximation theory in the variable exponent Smirnov classes of analytic functions, defined on the Jordan domains with a Dini-smooth boundaries, is studied. First, for this purpose, ... -
Solutions of the system of differential equations by differentical transform method
(Elsevier Science Bv, 2004)In this study, three-dimensional differential transform method has been introduced and fundamental theorems have been defined for the first time. Moreover, as an application of two and three-dimensional differential ... -
Commutator subgroups of the extended Hecke groups H̄(λq)
(Springer Heidelberg, 2004)Hecke groups H(lambda(q)) are the discrete subgroups of PSL(2, R) generated by S(z) = -(z + lambda(q))(-1) and T(z) = -1/z. The commutator subgroup of H(lambda(q)), denoted by H'(lambda(q)), is studied in [2]. It was shown ... -
Approximation by p-Faber-Laurent rational functions in the weighted Lebesgue spaces
(Springer Heidelberg, 2004)Let L subset of C be a regular Jordan curve. In this work, the approximation properties of the p-Faber-Laurent rational series expansions in the w weighted Lebesgue spaces L-p(L, w) are studied. Under some restrictive ... -
One dimension higher of the word problem
(Matematisk Institut, 2004)Just as a group presentation P can be regarded as a 2-complex with a single 0-cell. so we can consider a 3-complex with a single 0-cell, known as a 3-presentaton. In this paper. by using a geometric way, called spherical ... -
Toric ideals of simple surface singularities
(Hacettepe Univ, 2015)In this paper, we study a class of toric ideals obtained by using some geometric data of ADE trees which are the minimal resolution graphs of rational surface singularities. We compute explicit Grobner bases for these toric ... -
Realization and characterization of modulus of smoothness in weighted lebesgue spaces
(Amer Mathematical Soc, 2015)A characterization is obtained for the modulus of smoothness in the Lebesgue spaces L-omega(p), 1 < p < infinity, with weights omega satisfying the Muckenhoupt A(p) condition. Also, a realization result and the equivalence ...
