Can phenotypes be recognized?
Abstract
Identification of phenotypes and endotypes of asthma has provided countless benefits, primarily in individualized therapy. Numerous studies have been conducted to identify phenotypes of preschool wheeze which is known as infantile asthma. Our level of knowledge on phenotypes and their prognosis has strongly improved especially after the availability of the advanced age results of birth cohorts. In this review, our aim was to identify clinical features that will help to differentiate between phenotypes of preschool wheeze.
